Inga Peulich was re-elected to the Victorian Parliament in November 2006 as a Member of the Legislative Council for the South Eastern Metropolitan Region having already served in the Victorian Parliament from 1992- 2002 as a Member of the Legislative Assembly.

Upon election, Inga was appointed to the Scrutiny of Acts and Regulations and brings a depth of Committee experience including 10 years on the All-Party Family and Community Development Committee and experience as Deputy Chair. Inga has also been appointed Acting President and as Chair assisting the Shadow Minister for Industry, Major Projects and Small Business.

Before her re-election to the Victorian Legislative Council, Inga completed 3 years on the Victorian Liberal Administrative Committee, served 2 years as Metropolitan Female Vice President and chaired a number of key party committees including State Strategy, the State Council Agenda Committee and the Victorian Liberal Training Committee.

Inga Peulich was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina and emigrated to Australia with her family as a little girl in 1967. She is the proud mother of Paul, a 25 year old who studied in New York on an athletics scholarship and is now a Councillor in the City of Kingston. With a 30 year involvement in small business, Inga has also served as a councillor in the South East and began her political life as a child care activist.

Before being elected to the Victorian Parliament, Inga was an English Faculty Head at Cleeland and Eumemmering Secondary Colleges, teaching VCE English and Psychology. She is an International Teaching Fellow and is well qualified with a BA and M. Ed Studies.

Inga Peulich became the Shadow Parliamentary Secretary for Education and Communities in February 2008, adding responsibility for Wastewatch in November 2009.

Districts: Carrum, Clayton, Cranbourne, Dandenong, Frankston, Lyndhurst, Mordialloc, Mount Waverley, Mulgrave, Narre Warren North and Narre Warren South.

Features: South Eastern Metropolitan Region covers inner suburban areas, established and developing industrial estates and outer metropolitan areas. The Region includes the Sandown Racecourse, Victoria Police Academy, the Frankston, Clayton and Berwick campuses of Monash University, the Rusden campus of Deakin University, the Edithvale-Seaford wetlands environmental areas, Patterson Lakes Estate, Frankston reservoir, Lysterfield Lake, the Cardinia reservoir and a number of beaches, and a number of parks and reserves.
